As you know, Sprinter has AY-3-8910 into Altera PLD.
So, AY take 255 logic cells (14%) of PLD (which contain 1728 logic cells) and 8% of internal RAM of PLD (PLD RAM = 3K).

I think there's a error in chip sigle the correct is AY-3-8912.
BTW: You have think to change with a YM2149 ?
In some Speccy clone is used and the YM Chip is better.

The YM2149 it's pin compatible with AY-3-8910 and has a better quality audio output.
Try to search someth tech-info in Internet...
You Would have to find the documentation adeguate.
In some Speccy Clone emulator there's avaible the two chip.
(Ex RealSpectrum)
