Tape Problems Reply to this post

Hello Everyone,

I've made a quick cable using pins 2 & 3 on the 25 way connector to load stuff from tape. I can't seem to get it to work

When just the cable is connected, I get occasional flickering on load "".

When I play a VOC from the PC it flickers a bit more, but doesn't load.

I've used this lead on the real spectrum many times & it works fine.

I've also got a wierd sort of audio connector next to the video output on the Sprinter - I take it this is not for tape?

Thanks in advance

Mark

You should disable Turbo Mode by <F12> key during usage a Tape.
Audio jack serves for sound only.

This works a treat.

I'm having some real problems with the spectrum emulation in general.

TRD files are all very well, but some sort of snapshot/tap loading would be lovely.

I've tried loading snapshots made on RealSpectrum on the Scorpion to no avail.

I suppose that now that the tape's working I can have some more funs.

Ta very muchly

Nice news. Usually we not wait problems, especially if users buy Sprinter computer, not a mainboard only.

Probably, support of TAP files will be possible too. It's really not a hard format.
By the way, which of Spectrum modes do you use more often? ZX Spectrum, Pentagon, Scorpion or Sprinter ZX?

I'd definitely say ZX spectrum.

The others are cool to have, but the Spectrum 'emulation' is so good, coupled with the wealth of available software.

Hard to beat.

Thanks again
