I want some info and scenarios on how to run spectrum software. Is it true that you can not run spectrum games from harddrive, you have to save the games as an imagefile on harddrive and the transfer it to ram and start it from there ?
Any chance of HD installed Out Run? :-/

Spectrum program should be placed in TRD file (TR-DOS disk image) on HDD(or FD).
After executing of TRD its contents is copied to the TR-DOS RAM-disk ("E" RAM-disk, which set to the "A" TR-DOS device). If TRD include "BOOT.B" file then you have working Spectrum program on the screen.

TRD Files are limited to 640K, but I think that it will be possible to patch the Spectrum Rom (Or the games) to access HD via Bios calls.

Sprinter need the tool for TRD service. May be like Spectrum Navigator for PC, with two panels. This tool (commander) must support features:
- make TRD file from TR-DOS disk or empty.
- copy TRD image from/to any RAM-disks or to real TR-DOS disks
- to move Spectrum files from one TRD to another TRD
- delete TRD and its contents
- to compact TRD files
- what else?

What else? Hmmm. I think about
general playing with hobeta-files
inside of TRD image. (Exactly like program TAPER
does it with tape blocks in TAP file). You know, what I mean?
But maybe You've mentioned it.
And maybe some conversions should be possible
using such a Navigator? For example copying TXT files from dos to TRD. BMP, PCX and other stuff (from dos to TRD image)...
Maybe converting SCL to TRD?
Etc...
